They need more supervision. You have to really look out for your loved one.

The food is terrible. They can improve by being more responsive, when patients press the alert necklace.

Microwaves were removed from each apartment/ suite and there isn't one available in the activity room that was converted to their dining area. I'd expect a bit more for [cost removed] a month. More often than not, it's hard to find someone staff wise on her floor especially since it's now a locked floor meaning a code must be used to get an elevator to exit the floor.

1. The activities for memory care is non existence between floors. Not consistent, therefore one floor plans actions and the second floor is dead silent. When it came to the activities, my loved one didn't get the chance to participate. [name removed] and [name removed] very helpful. Med Techs and aides very helpful. My brother was only there a short time but it was a positive experience. My brother died on [date removed] and was buried today ,

Memory care staff depends on who is working to get good care. Make sure you visit them often. As far as the food goes, Memory care never got what the regular facility received. I would only recommend them if you can check on your loved one frequently.

Your care anywhere is as good as the aids that take care of your person. Yes I believe I would recommend this community to other families, but it all depends on the aides just like the nurses in the hospital. If they are good your ok but if not good it can be very bad

Chestnut Ridge was just the place we needed for a two week respite care for my Mom. We were so grateful for the two week respite because most facilities require 30 day stays. Everyone there was friendly, caring and supportive of my mom’s needs. Mom loved the food and enjoyed going to the dining room to eat her delicious meals daily. Someone was always around to make sure she went for her meals. The place was very clean and mom’s room had a nice kitchenette and a beautiful view of the woods. There were also many daily activit... read more
